ParcelMate

Volunteer-Based Delivery System

ParcelMate is a volunteer-based delivery system within the airport where other travelers can carry your small parcel on their flight and bring it to your designated receiver for an incentive.

This project was sponsored by Edenspiekermann.

I conducted user experience surveys and research on existing systems to create an interface design that connects a "sender" with a "carrier" who will best deliver the sender's parcel.

Combining Digital Interfaces with Physical Systems
The ParcelMate app acts as a checkpoint system by providing users with step-by-step updates on each parcel's delivery.

However, the ParcelMate experience extends into the real world, with the possibility of lost or damaged packages. Therefore, I implemented tamper-seal stickers that senders can use to seal their parcels. I also included tracking numbers so each person's parcel is identifiable.
